Richard Bowman is a stand-up comedian and history teacher based in Newcastle upon Tyne who uses the past to make sense of a present he struggles to come to grips with. As a schoolteacher and the father of teenage daughters, Richard survives daily life by weaponising sharp, dry wit and extreme self-deprecation. When he isn't confused by the modern world or getting outsmarted by his own and other peoples children, he can be found on stage trying to convince strangers that his life is going swimmingly.
