Marlla is a Liverpool-based comedian from Seychelles, with an Irish accent, a white cane, and a lot of stories she probably shouldn’t admit to in public.
Marlla is visually impaired and brings audiences into her world through sharp observations, storytelling, and a healthy dose of self-deprecating humour. She shares her unique take on life, from navigating the everyday absurdities of being visually impaired to awkward encounters and the assumptions people make along the way, finding the funny in the awkward, the unexpected, and the downright ridiculous.
Although still relatively new to the comedy circuit, Marlla has already made her mark, becoming a two-time winner of the Hot Water Comedy Club “3 Minutes of Fame” Gong Show.
With her natural warmth and honesty, Marlla has a way of winning over crowds from the moment she steps on stage. Her comedy is a reminder that perspective is everything, especially when you see the world a little differently.
