Ricky Tomlinson In Conversation With Asa Murphy
Eric ‘Ricky’ Tomlinson is a much-loved English actor and comedian (and former plasterer), best known for his iconic television roles as Bobby Grant in Brookside (1982–1988), DCI Charlie Wise in Cracker (1993–2006) and the unforgettable Jim Royle in The Royle Family (1998–2012).
He also starred as the title character in the hit mockumentary Mike Bassett: England Manager and has appeared in a wide range of television and film projects including Nice Guy Eddie, Clocking Off, the film Nativity! alongside Martin Freeman, and The 51st State with Samuel L. Jackson.
Join us at Hot Water Comedy Club for a special evening with Ricky Tomlinson as he shares stories from his incredible career on stage and screen, along with plenty of laughs along the way. After the show there will also be an opportunity to meet Ricky.
The evening will be hosted by BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Asa Murphy. As well as being an experienced interviewer and presenter, Asa is an established singer and entertainer, equally at home performing his swing-style big band shows or energetic Rock ’n’ Roll performances.
