Mark Wright is a former English central defender best known for his time at Liverpool FC and the England national team. He joined Liverpool in 1991 from Derby County and quickly established himself as a commanding presence in defense. Wright captained the team to FA Cup victory in 1992 and earned a reputation for his solid defensive skills and leadership on the pitch. Internationally, he was capped 45 times for England and played a key role in the 1990 World Cup, where England reached the semi-finals.
