About Chris Norton

Chris Norton Walker is a new stand up to the comedy circuit, but is a rising talent. Gigging all across the Uk and recently gigging at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Chris Norton Walker regularly gigs all across London. His writing was nominated for Best Comedy at the NASTA (National Student TV Awards 08). Chris pokes fun at comedians and audiences alike. Mocking assumptions and challenging notions. He uses himself, and his life experiences, as a mirror to ridicule stand up comedy and to deconstruct established comedy motifs. Chris Norton Walker is a recent graduate from the Central School of Speech and Drama, London. Where he is studied a post graduate MA in Advanced Theatre Practice. He is part of the company Spitting Distance who are fellow post graduates of Central for the Edinburgh Festival, currently devising a show entitled Suckerville. Suckerville is 23rd on the Evening Standards' article ' The 25 reasons to go to the Edinburgh Fringe' and is in the 'Top 100 shows to see in Edinburgh' by the Scotsman and has been mentioned in The Telegraph and What's on Stage magazine BIOGRAPHIES Chris Norton Walker studied Drama at Demontfort University, Leicester and is a postgraduate Actor from the Central School of Speech and Drama, currently studying on the MA Advanced Theatre Practice course. In Leicester he stared as George H Jones in Machinal ; the devised Excavate (shortlisted for the 2007 National Student Drama Festival) and a extra in the Hollywood film The Da Vinci Code. Whilst at Central he has performed in The Glass Hotel at the BAC (Scratch), the devised No One Gets Out Of Here Alive… and Suckerville for the Turbulence Festival. As well as performing regular stand up comedy on the London circuit and getting to the final rounds of major stand up competitions.
