This event is in aid of the charity the AKU Society. Based in Cambridge put with a strong presence in Liverpool, this charity supports those who have the rare disease alkaptonuria (AKU).

AKU is a rare genetic disorder that patients in the UK can only receive treatment for at the Royal University Hospital Liverpool.

The proceeds from this stand-up comedy night will be helping to pay for an International Patient Workshop, to support AKU patients from around the world.
